Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Hope to the existence of a goal, combined with a determined plan for reaching that goal. Hope for me for me means that you have strong energy inside you to keep you motivated and not giving up.
It comes from your mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.Hope and restoration in the lives of the survivors.

What threatens hope is slavery its a threat.
What gives me hope is my mind because hope is a feeling of expectation and can desire for a certain thing that can happen. How I have used hope in the past is like in soccer games and other events because hope gave positive outcomes and motivation and it will keep me and team mates positive the whole game so we would be motivated to take a victory.

Ted Talk #3 Similarity

The ted talk that I watched was about less stuff and less space means less footprint and save more money. This talk was about how less space and not thinking big can make you happy. How it was similar to blog post two was the thinking in both talks that over thinking big and trying to make everything look better like in a room or living for example. Also when time passes you don't want something anymore and you want to get rid of it but you have to stick with it because that something it's can keep you happy if you are already happy with it. The way thinking works is by just not thinking big. Another thing that is similar with blog post two is the human brain is almost tripled in mass because it gain new structures and got a new part called the pre-frontal. What the pre-frontal does it's an experience simulator that allows the brain to think the future.

Gilbert's talk 1-25

How the human brain nearly tripled in mass is because it gain new structures and got a new part called the pre-frontal. What the pre-frontal does it's an experience simulator that allows the brain to think the future. Synthetic happiness is when you think happiness, what you say and what you do. The psychological immune system is a system that changes their view to make them feel better and comfortable. The economic motivation behind the popular belief that "synthetic happiness" is inferior to real happiness is to be naturally happy and wanting what we want and not getting it still makes us happy because you forget about it. Enemy synthetic happiness it's giving something to someone else that is the same thing and making them accept things they can't change. The psychological immune system works the best once you engage with something you are very happy with and once time passes you don't want it anymore and you want to get rid of you have to stick with it because it's what makes you happy. there is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so it can't be right, it can be the same thing.

Happiness 1-11

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. How I describe happiness is to see people to be happy or comfortable with something. What makes me happy is to be alive and to be able to go places and have fun. How many people are unhappy it’s because they might not be happy what with they’re doing and might feel uncomfortable. I think people should focus more in happiness because a lot of people need to be more happy to always be in a good mood. It will work because it can make forget about old problems and people can be polite. How people can associate happiness is with education because you learn new things and it’s exciting to learn new things. How I associate happiness is with my life because I think many things that occur are happy.

Grit 10#

Grit is the power passion and perseverance in other words grit is in psychology is a positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual's passion for a particular long-term goal or endstate, coupled with a powerful motivation to achieve their respective objective. Grit ties in with positive psychology and in particular, with perseverance. The area of positive psychology has been in the process of perseverance as a positive indicator of long term success. One of the best predictors of future achievement has been intelligence. This relationship has been found in school goals as well in job performance. Grit is strongly parallel with intelligence.  Grit has been  to be recognizable from each of these in the following ways. Perseverance is the dedicated talked about a task, mission in discouragement.This goal passion also contributes to the ability of the individual to sustain effort over the long term. Since grit is primarily a measure of an individual's ability to persist in obtaining a specific goal over an extended time period, hardiness refers to an individual's ability to hold through difficult circumstances and does not address the individual's long term persistence toward a specific goal. Grit can involve maintaining a goal focused effort for extended time, often while facing trouble but it doesn’t require a critical incident. The most Important thing of grit is to think as a trait while resilience is a dynamic process.

Self-Control #9

My instant self-control that I believe it’s self regulation because I can control myself and it’s not the only type of self control there is more types. If you don’t know what Self-control means is the ability to control one's emotions, behavior, and desires in the face of external demands, to function in society. In psychology it is sometimes called self-regulation, although that is itself a somewhat broader concept. The functional imaging of the brain is shown that self-control is correlated with an area in the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex, a part of the frontal lobe. Environmental Strategies, involve changing times, places, or situations where one experiences problematic behavior. Behavioral Strategies, involve changing the antecedents or consequences of a behavior. Cognitive Strategies, involve changing one's thoughts or beliefs about a particular behavior. Many other people have different types of self control not every person have the same types of self-control. The way it’s controlled is by a brain part called the Prefrontal Cortex area. The types of self-controls are changing the group of people with whom one socializes avoiding situations or settings where an undesirable behavior is more likely to occur  changing the time of day for participating in a desirable behavior to a time when one will be more productive or successful, judgment, impulse control, management of aggression, emotional regulation, self regulation, planning, reasoning and social skills and the brain regions involved. There are many self-control strategies increasing social support by asking others to work towards the same or a similar goal  placing visual cues or reminders about one's goal in one's daily environment developing reinforcers rewards for engaging in desirable behaviors or punishers for engaging in undesirable behaviors  eliminating naturally occurring reinforcers for undesirable behavior engaging in alternative, positive behaviors when one is inclined to engage in an undesirable behavior creating ways to make a desirable behavior more enjoyable or convenient scheduling a specific time to engage in a desirable behavior  writing a behavioral contract to hold oneself accountable for carrying out the self-control program.
